Motivation:
The tractor-implement combinations used in agricultural work processes are currently set and monitored manually by the operator. The correct setting of the tractor-implement combination is essential for an energy-efficient process. This multi-size optimization is challenging for a human operator and offers the potential to reduce energy consumption and the associated greenhouse gas emissions.
As part of the research project, an assistance system is being developed that determines the energy-efficient operating points of the machine combination and visualizes them as recommendations for action. Due to the large number of agricultural activities, a modular solution is required for this.
Project goals:
- Development of an assistance system for the prediction and visualization of energy-efficient operating points
- Development of an interface for exchanging the necessary information between tractor and implements
- Testing on a prototype (tractor and power harrow)
