Welcome to the Institute Mobile Machines
The Mobile Machinery Division (Mobima) of the KIT is unique in its form in Germany and is now internationally recognized as a specialist center for questions in the field of mobile machinery. Its declared aim is research into future concepts. The aim is to get students and young scientists interested in mobile machines and to provide industry with competent scientific support from the idea to implementation.

Together with the Technical University of Dresden and the Pflanzelt company, we have investigated and further developed the movement principle of a portal walking mechanism for forestry machines.
