Mobile machines perform a wide range of tasks and are indispensable tools in agriculture, on construction sites or in materials handling. In the further development of these machines, the focus today is not only on increasing productivity and operator comfort, but above all on improving energy efficiency.

The aim of the joint project is to develop drive solutions and design principles for mobile machines that enable a reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of at least 20 percent.
In addition to new drive technologies, methods are to be developed that enable an objective assessment of the energy efficiency of mobile machines and dimensioning adapted to the work processes. The consortium is forming topic-specific working groups, which will work closely together to agree on the content of the interlinked and complementary work packages, coordinate them in terms of time and work on them in a targeted manner. The core of the project is the linking of the solutions developed within the working groups.
