The Institute of Vehicle Systems Technology (FAST) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is procuring an all-wheel drive acoustic roller test bench for testing complete mobile machines, light and heavy commercial vehicles as well as all-wheel drive cars and off-road vehicles. The test bench is designed with regard to performance and function measurements, whereby each wheel is to be controlled individually. In particular, the testing of driver assistance systems (e.g. ABS/ASR) is planned.
Furthermore, acoustic tests of the exterior noise, structure-borne noise tests on the drivetrain and interior noise measurements are to be carried out.
