Machine operators are faced with increasingly complex technology that they have to master. Assistance systems take on the task of supporting the operator and relieving them of routine tasks. When using such technologies, the issue of safety is also of great importance. In addition to compliance with legal regulations, the focus is on reliable and robust operation.

The Mobile Machines - Safety and Driver Assistance for Work Machines conference will look at these topics and present trends and new developments in the areas of driver assistance and safety for work machines. Topics such as automated machine guidance, condition-based maintenance, online fault diagnosis and new control concepts will be addressed.

The Mobile Machines conference took place for the first time on March 25 and 26.
The event, which focused on the topics of safety and driver assistance for work machines, was held near Karlsruhe in cooperation with Hanser Verlag. In addition to the interesting specialist presentations, there was the opportunity for intensive and open exchange and discussion. Over 50 specialists from the industry took part and, together with the press and organizers, rated the event as a complete success.
