information:
This course is for students in the Bachelor's program.
Due to low student numbers, the Bachelor's lecture “FluidPower” unfortunately cannot be held as a weekly event. Only one student has expressed interest in the lecture as a bachelor's lecture. However, it is possible to complete the lecture through self-study. In addition, three meetings with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Geimer are planned, during which you will have the opportunity to discuss the lecture content. Office hours for the exercises are also possible.
Please let us know until November 14 at johannes.klotz∂kit.edu if you are interested in self-study for the lecture.

Qualifcation objectives:
Students have a well-founded undrestanding of the physical principles and applications of energy conversion and power distribution in the field of fluid power. They can identify, describe, and evaluate the funcionality of common fluid power components and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of different types of construction.
Students will be able to read hydraulic circuit diagrams, to set up pressure-build-up equations, to calculate simple hydraulic networks and to desigen and dimension simple hydraulic systems for specific applications.
Students are familliar with basic simulation approaches and can check the plausability of simulation results.
