Summary
Simulation is playing an increasingly important role in the development process of mobile machinery. Complex systems consisting of mechanics, hydraulics and control must be mapped. The simulation programs available today only offer the possibility of completely mapping these systems with one program to a limited extent. In addition, it is possible to use a specialized program for each discipline and connect them by means of a so-called co-simulation. Numerous programs already offer such interfaces, but there are still various difficulties to overcome, especially when integrating complex hydraulic systems.
The GUSMA project aims to develop the basic principles and demonstrate the application of co-simulation using a typical example of controlled comfort hydraulics. The process of co-simulation is to be standardized and a platform established on which the coupled simulation can be carried out using a standardized procedure. In order to expand the close supplier relationship that has developed, which is typical for the mobile machinery sector, the possibility of integrating partial simulation models from the supplier into the overall model is to be created. Particular attention must be paid to the issue of know-how protection.
