The project is concerned with the development of an efficient range extender drive system to improve the performance of electrically powered municipal vehicles with low fuel consumption. The system architecture and control concept are being developed as part of the research activities. The electrical components are designed and the behaviour of the drive system is simulated in order to design it for optimised use.
