MOBiL - Test method for mobile machinery

Man drives a wheel loader in a simulation, the load of the wheels is measured on actual motors

The drive component test field available at the institute is used to examine and analyze mechanical, electrical and hydraulic drivetrains and drivetrain components.
Freely configurable drive and load machines enable experiments with individual drivetrain components, complex subsystems and even an entire drivetrain for a wide range of vehicles.
This enables scientifically sound development, testing and analysis of complete drivetrains. Thanks to the comprehensive measurement system for recording all test bench and test specimen data, tests can be carried out using the "hardware in the loop" method in addition to the realization of dynamic load profiles. We have adapted this approach to the needs of mobile machinery and are constantly developing it further. This allows additional functionalities, new functions and assistance systems to be tested even if no prototype vehicle is yet available.
