Within this partial project a lightweight battery system with a high level of functional integration for the e-mobility sector is developed. The focus is reduction of weight by usage of fiber reinforced polymers. The focus of the KIT-FAST within the project is the development of simulation techniques to predict the warpage of injection molded parts. The holding stage and curing phase within the tool as well as the out-of-tool cooling phase are simulated with an anisotropic chemo-thermal-coupled material model based on data of the filling simulation (fiber orientation, temperature and degree of cure). With this simulation techniques the final part geometry (under consideration of warpage) and the final part material state (under consideration of residual stresses) can be predicted.
