  • "The objective assessment of customer relevant vehicle properties is a key factor for an efficient vehicle development. This paper presents a method to define and ensure chassis relevant ride comfort targets using characteristic values. Based on the subjective vibration phenomena “body control“ and “solidity“ characteristic values describing the vibrational behaviour of the vehicle body in the chassis relevant frequency range have been developed. Estimating the transmission behaviour of the vehicle from road measurements or corresponding simulations the same characteristic values are applicable to road and test rig data. Doing so periodic vibration phenomena can similarly be quantified for harmonic and stochastic excitations."
